As a Field Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing medical devices, supporting customers, and ensuring our equipment meets the highest quality and safety standards. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with option for prolongation.

What will you be doing?
  • Repair and maintain Smith+Nebhew equipment in line with internal procedures, corporate guidelines, and relevant industry standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) activities for customers with service contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Complete training and certification programs to become qualified to service equipment across multiple product franchises.
  • Carry out precision instrument servicing, including working under a microscope and sharpening surgical instruments.
  • Support the wider Service Engineering team in delivering and managing the preventative maintenance program.
  • Manage personal inventory levels, perform scheduled stock cycle counts, and contribute to effective inventory control.
  • Assist Operations Leads and Service Coordinators with inventory management activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, hospital staff, and internal sales teams.
  • Ensure service activities are completed efficiently, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Meet and exceed individual performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
