Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Logistics security officer to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe environment across client sites in the region. Preference is given to candidates with an SIA licence or certificates, with training available where needed.

The role requires a full 5-year, checkable employment/education history, and duties include patrols, CCTV monitoring, and coordinating with depot management. Travel between Tamworth and Barton is expected.

Qualifications

• Provide a high standard of customer service on client sites.
• Conduct patrols of the depot to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Utilise CCTV to support crime reduction and stock loss prevention.
• Liaise with depot management and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with access and egress controls as required by site systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service to visitors and colleagues.
• Conduct patrols of the depot and surrounding areas.
• Provide a visible security presence for staff and visitors.
• Use CCTV to monitor activity and deter theft.
• Report breaches of security procedures and incidents promptly.
• Support with gatehouse duties and access control as needed.
• Respond to on-site incidents and coordinate with client or emergency services.

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting:

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To conduct patrols of the depot
• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
• To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills
