Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Relief Logistics Security Officer to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a safe site across regional locations. The role involves patrols, incident response, and close collaboration with depot teams.

Ideal candidates may hold an SIA licence or be eligible for training; a 5-year checkable history is required to secure this position. Commutable region-wide with various shifts discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• SIA licence preferred; training for licence possible in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Conduct patrols of the depot.
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and visitors.
• Utilise CCTV systems to support crime and stock loss reduction.
• Liaise with depot management teams.
• Deter theft and other poor working practices.
• Conduct site searches (to be discussed at interview).
• Respond to on-site incidents or requests for assistance and coordinate with client/emergency services.
• Highlight breaches of security procedures.
• Assist with access and egress to/from the site as required.

Job Overview

Mitie is looking for a Relief Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided).

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main Duties

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To conduct patrols of the depot
• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
• To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills
