John King UK is seeking a purchasing and logistics admin to join the wider logistics team. The role offers growth as the company expands and requires assisting with imports, exports and freight coordination.

You will liaise with freight forwarders, coordinate shipping, and support the Purchasing team with order progression and documentation. Strong organisation and communication are essential.

Qualificações

• Experience in admin, purchasing, logistics, order management or supply chain support is beneficial but full training will be provided.
• Proficient with PC-based office software including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Good communication, organisation and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to chase, follow up and close out actions promptly.
• Capable of maintaining accurate records and updating business systems.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Logistics Manager with import, export, cross-trade and direct shipments.
• Arrange shipments by sea, air, road or rail as required by the business.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, agents and logistics providers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
• Assist with moving goods into the UK from overseas suppliers.
• Support export shipments from John King UK to international customers.
• Assist with direct shipments from supplier to customer where applicable.
• Obtain transport prices and compare freight options for cost-effective shipments.
• Track shipments and maintain shipping logs for accuracy.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff on collection and delivery dates.
• Prepare and check shipping documentation like invoices and packing lists.
