Eastlands Venue Services Limited (EVSL) is seeking a Logistics Operative to support matchdays, conferences, and major events at Etihad Stadium. You will help prepare and reset hospitality areas, meeting rooms, and operational spaces to the highest standards, while coordinating casual staff and ensuring timely delivery of services.

The role covers venue checks, asset movements, stock handling, and collaboration across departments to maintain safe, event-ready environments.

Responsibilities

• Venue Operations & Event Delivery: set‑up, breakdown, and preparation of hospitality areas, meeting rooms, conference facilities, and event spaces across the stadium.
• Team Coordination & Operational Support: coordinate casual logistics team members during events and provide guidance to ensure safe, productive operations.
• Logistics & Asset Management: movement, deployment, storage, and maintenance of furniture, equipment, and assets; conduct inventory checks.
• Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement: maintain high standards of safety and compliance; identify efficiency and service improvements.

Description

As a Logistics Operative, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of matchdays, conferences, events, and venue operations across the Etihad Stadium. You'll ensure hospitality areas, event spaces, meeting rooms, operational areas, and stadium facilities are prepared, maintained, and reset to the highest standards.

This is a hands‑on operational role where you'll work across multiple departments, supporting venue set‑ups, asset movements, logistics activities, and operational changeovers. You'll also coordinate and support casual team members when required to ensure deadlines are met and operational standards are maintained.

You’ll play an important part in delivering exceptional experiences for guests, clients, supporters, and stakeholders by ensuring all operational spaces are event-ready, safe, and efficiently managed.

You will be responsible for:

Venue Operations & Event Delivery Support the set‑up, breakdown, and preparation of hospitality areas, meeting rooms, conference facilities, event spaces, and operational areas across the stadium. Ensure all layouts, furniture, equipment, branding, signage, and event requirements are delivered accurately and in line with operational plans. Conduct venue checks and respond positively to changing operational priorities and last‑minute requests.

Team Coordination & Operational Support Coordinate and support casual logistics team members during matchdays, conferences, concerts, and major events. Allocate tasks effectively, provide guidance where required, and contribute to a positive, safe, and productive working environment. Work collaboratively with departments across the stadium to provide timely and professional operational support.

Logistics & Asset Management Support the movement, deployment, storage, and maintenance of furniture, equipment, and operational assets. Maintain organised storage areas, facilitate internal stock movements and deliveries, complete inventory checks, and ensure resources are readily available to meet operational requirements. Contribute to sustainability and waste management initiatives across the venue.

Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance by following approved working practices and ensuring work areas remain safe and organised. Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns promptly. Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery while supporting operational improvement initiatives across the stadium.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential

• Experience in logistics, warehouse, facilities, hospitality support, venue operations, or a similar operational environment
• Experience coordinating or supervising casual, temporary, or agency team members
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities
• Strong organisational, communication, and time‑management skills

Desirable

• Experience working within a stadium, arena, conference and events, hospitality, or entertainment environment
• Knowledge of event operations, venue logistics, and large‑scale event delivery
• Forklift, IPAF, or other relevant logistics certifications
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
• Experience supporting matchday, conference, or major event operations
