Job description
Introduction

At Crumb, our mission is to provide pet owners with complete peace of mind. Our smart tags give owners the comfort that if their pet ever went missing, they’d have the highest possible chance of being reunited.

Crumb launched in 2022, growing quickly and attracting attention. We now have a community of over a million pets worldwide, following our expansion to the US, Canada and Australia. We plan to launch in the EU in 2026.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive Logistics & Operations Manager to oversee our global supply chain on a part‑time basis. You will be the “glue” that keeps our physical products moving, managing everything from international customs to ensuring our remote warehouses have the equipment they need to fulfil orders.

Because we operate globally, this role offers significant flexibility. While there are core tasks to complete each week, you will also serve as our “on‑call” expert for operational emergencies, such as equipment failures or customs delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Global Inventory Management: Assist in forecasting customer demand and align inventory planning to support growth targets while minimising stock risk. Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels across all international warehouse locations to prevent stockouts while minimising excess.
  • International Trade & Compliance: Act as the primary lead for all import and export duties across our 4 core markets, ensuring all documentation is accurate and shipments clear customs without delay.
  • Warehouse MRO (Maintenance, Repair, & Operations): Manage the procurement and stocking of all essential warehouse supplies, including paper, ink, boxes, envelopes, and specialised equipment.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for equipment failures; you will be on‑call to resolve issues like printer breakdowns or hardware glitches to keep fulfilment lines moving.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with international freight forwarders, customs brokers, and local facility suppliers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in logistics, supply chain management, or international trade.
  • Global Expertise: Proven experience handling customs regulations and duties in multiple countries.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable troubleshooting hardware (printers, scanners) and navigating Inventory Management Systems (IMS).
  • Flexible Availability: Ability to respond to urgent warehouse equipment issues or “line‑down” situations, even outside of core scheduled hours.
  • Organisation: Exceptional attention to detail—missing one customs form or running out of one box size stops our entire operation.
  • Communication: Ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and vendors globally.
Working Pattern & Compensation
  • Fixed Part‑Time: This is a part‑time role based on 20 hours per week.
  • Flexibility: While we have a “standard” schedule, we require a candidate who can shift their hours occasionally to resolve urgent equipment issues or communicate with warehouses in different time zones.
  • Salary: £27,500 (£55,000 FTE).
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and outstanding benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work in award‑winning offices, complete with on‑site barista and gym.
  • Chance to make a real impact in a growing company.
  • True flexibility – we care about outcomes, not “time at desk.” You manage your schedule around the core needs of the warehouses.
How To Apply:

If you fit the criteria and you’re up to the challenge of joining a fast‑growing, global team, we’d love to hear from you! In order to be considered, you must submit a cover letter alongside your CV which explains why you’d be a great fit for this role.
