Role description:
  • Responsible for leg B (international transportation) KPIs including lead times, manages important operational escalations, makes decisions on operational issues and changes.
Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all leg B KPIs
  • Analyzes and proposes regional initiatives to drive lead time reductions
  • Manages leg B important escalations & performance issues impacting more than 1 LSP or site or market
  • Reviews, approves and proposes process changes and improvements. Raises Change Requests.
  • Coordinates Ops Analysts in case of tenders, projects, implementation of new processes and mapping of setups (e.g., EOR/IOR)
  • Makes decisions and builds business cases analyzing trade-offs and exploring different scenarios on LSPs, modes of transport, cost and lead time
  • Builds mid to long-term transport planning capabilities to avoid LSP capacity constraints
  • Raises issues and risks, acts as main POC and participates in projects led by TP, Logistics Quality, CoE, SC Planning Hub, Global Logistics Procurement and KN 4PL
  • Validates KPI methodologies, data quality and adherence to process and timelines for all KN 4PL tasks and activities
  • Acts as back-up for the Logistics Director and the leg B Ops Analysts
Experience & education:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Substantial experience in international logistics in a GDP environment

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • Understanding of trade compliance and supply chain processes
  • Experience in working in a 4PL setup
  • Continuous improvement experience using lean or six sigma methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and build cross-functional partnerships across the organization
