Job summary

XPO Logistics is seeking a Transport Supervisor to coordinate transport operations at the Preston Brook site, working closely with Saint Gobain interior solutions. The role operates on a two-week rotation schedule and offers progression opportunities within a growing logistics environment.

Ideal candidates will manage vehicle defects, ensure driver compliance with WTD regulations, and contribute ideas to improve service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety presence on site and challenge noncompliance.
• Report and action vehicle defects promptly.

This role would be working on a 2 Week rotion Week 1 - Monday - Friday 06:00-14:30 Week 2 Monday - Thursday 13:30-22:00 Friday 11:30-20:00

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
• Work closely with the onsite customer ensuring all operational requirements are met.
• Maintain a health and safety presence on site and challenge noncompliance.
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
• Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• Good administrative skills
• Have a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
