Job summary

Fugro is seeking an experienced Logistics Controller to own logistics and customs for UK operations, based in Aberdeen or Wallingford. You will manage freight movements, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency while guiding internal teams and external partners.

The role requires strong logistics expertise, supervisory experience, and knowledge of import/export regulations, with opportunities to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in freight logistics and customs operations.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics compliance.
• Experience managing third party logistics providers and contractor performance.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods transport requirements (land/air/sea).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day to day logistics and customs activities across designated business areas and sites.
• Ensure all logistics transactions are recorded and maintained in company systems.
• Provide guidance on logistics best practices, customs requirements and international freight movements.
• Monitor regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
• Manage relationships and performance of freight forwarders and service providers.
• Maintain licences, guarantees and regulatory arrangements.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Support development and performance management of logistics personnel.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, QHSSE and operations teams.
