Job summary

Lockwood Group is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support daily transport operations. You will work with drivers, planners and customers to ensure information flows smoothly and records stay accurate.

The role suits someone with experience in transport administration, logistics or customer service looking to grow in the logistics sector. 40 hours weekly, based at our Ilkeston area depots.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, dispatch, administration or customer service.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills liaising with drivers, customers and colleagues.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Experience with TMS/WMS is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities within the Dispatch Office.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, providing route information and updates.
• Accurately maintain TMS, WMS and other operational systems.
• Process transport documentation and ePODs and customer records.
• Support the Transport Planning team by communicating changes to drivers.
• Coordinate information flow between drivers, warehouse teams, planners and customers.
