Job summary

Lockwood Group Ltd is hiring a Logistics Co-ordinator to join our busy Transport team at Ilkeston. You will manage dispatch office administration, act as primary contact for drivers and customers, and maintain essential transport systems to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates will have transport/logistics or customer service experience, strong IT skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, dispatch, administration or customer service.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong communications with drivers, customers and colleagues.
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities within the Dispatch Office.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, providing route information and updates.
• Maintain Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other systems.
• Process transport documentation, ePOD and customer records.
• Support the Transport Planning team by communicating changes and requirements to drivers.
• Coordinate information flow between drivers, warehouses, planners and customers.
