Locum Employment Lawyer - Home Counties – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £55 per hour Umbrella – 3 months +

Organisation: Home Counties based Local Authority

Rate: up to £55 per hour Umbrella (depending on experience level)

Duration: 3 months + strong likelihood of extension confirmed thereafter

Working hours: Full-time or part-time hours can be considered for this opportunity

Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, with attendance at Tribunals when required

This position is suitable for Junior Lawyers or newly qualified Solicitors. The ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of Employment Law and previous experience within the Public Sector.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive advice and guidance on Employment Law to clients of the organisation
• Representing the Local Authority; external SLA clients (other Local Authorities), schools, and academies by providing Employment Law advice & Litigation services
• Advising client departments on conduct, capability, redundancy procedures, and relevant Employment Law legislation
• Preparing, managing casework, and undertaking advocacy work for Employment Tribunals
• Attending Employment Tribunals as required and supporting work from other Local Authorities
