Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley is recruiting a Local Housing Manager to oversee housing and estate services across a defined patch. The role is predominantly office-based with on-site duties, focusing on tenancy management for rented housing and collaboration with partners to deliver high-quality resident services.

You will be the customer-facing MTVH representative, handling complaints, estate services and lettings, while maintaining strong administration and reporting practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing setting is essential.
• Experience of tenancy enforcement and managing a high caseload of ASB with strong record keeping.
• Knowledge of housing practice, housing law and the principles of service charge management.
• Demonstrates MTVH values: care, dare and collaborate.
• Able to adapt to change and work flexibly.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate, network and be a strong team player.
• Experience of dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds with complex needs.
• Excellent administration, writing and numeracy skills.
• Experience handling customer inquiries in person, on the phone and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate housing and estate services within a defined geographical patch.
• Coordinate internal and external services to meet diverse resident needs to a high standard.
• Manage our relationship with the Local Authority and other Housing Association partners.
• Be the point of contact for complaints, estate services, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement and lettings management.
• Participate in local community initiatives and be prepared for occasional weekend work.
• Seek continuous improvement to provide excellent service to residents.
