Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Local ECO Manager to lead the Education, Communications and Outreach, and Social Value functions across contracts in Kingston, Merton, Sutton and Croydon. You will manage a team of ECO and Social Value Officers, delivering community engagement projects to improve recycling and embed Veolia contracts in local communities.

You will be the primary client contact, oversee budget, timeline and quality, and work with local councils and Veolia operations to drive behaviour

Qualifications

• Project development and management proficiency.
• People and budget management experience.
• Ability to deliver behaviour change and community engagement techniques and analyse results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Passion for sustainability and the environment.
• Knowledge of Recycling & Waste Industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop Education, Communications and Outreach, and Social Value functions.
• Lead ECO and Social Value Officers to deliver community engagement projects on time and within budget.
• Be the day-to-day client and site contact and support staff wellbeing events.
• Build relationships with clients and Veolia operations management; respond to queries and provide solutions.
• Coach ECO officers to improve project planning and engagement approaches.
• Develop and deliver social value initiatives across local employment and internships.
• Identify good news stories and collaborate with regional external engagement teams.
