Job summary

University of Brighton seeks a Staff Residential Adviser to provide pastoral support for students in halls of residence. You will live on campus and join a rota to provide overnight on-call cover, supporting welfare concerns and helping students settle into university life.

You will signpost to university services, resolve accommodation difficulties, and work with the Residential Wellbeing Team to build a strong on-campus community.

Qualifications

• Substantive position at the University of Brighton is required.
• Willing to live on campus and take part in overnight on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line response to student welfare concerns and critical incidents.
• Support students who are homesick or settling into university life.
• Signpost students to appropriate university support services.
• Help resolve difficulties in accommodation and community living.
• Collaborate with Residential Wellbeing Team to foster belonging in halls.
