Job summary

Accomplish is seeking a Residential Support Worker with Outdoor Activities to support young people aged 8–18 in a specialist residential setting near Shrewsbury. You will live on-site during a 4-on/7-off shift, with accommodation and meals provided, enabling you to lead adventure-based activities and help establish positive routines.

The role focuses on developing resilience and independence through climbing, kayaking, hiking, and biking, within a trauma-informed, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Aged 21+.
• Ability to participate in outdoor activities including climbing, kayaking, hiking, cycling.
• Ability to work a live-in shift pattern: 4 days on / 7 off.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in outdoor activities (climbing, kayaking, hiking, biking).
• Support young people through activity-based, structured care.
• Build strong relationships as a positive role model.
• Help develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting and daily routines.
• Manage behaviour using calm, trauma-informed approaches.
• Complete basic records and follow safeguarding processes.
