Job summary

Medicare People Limited in Canterbury is seeking a compassionate Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support individuals who need help to live safely and independently at home. As a live-in carer, you'll provide personalised one-to-one care that respects dignity, choice and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' professional care experience in the UK.
• Right to work in the UK.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs.
• Provide companionship and build trusted relationships.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Support safe mobility and moving and handling.
• Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day.
• Administer medication according to care plans.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and household tasks.
• Observe and report any changes in health or wellbeing.
• Work alongside families and healthcare professionals.
• Keep care documentation accurate and up to date.
• Help clients maintain dignity, independence and choice.
