Job summary

Medicare People Limited is seeking a compassionate Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Esher to support clients in their own homes. You will provide practical and emotional care tailored to each individual, helping with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and daily tasks.

We offer flexible placements from 4 days to 8 weeks, free accommodation, a pension, enhanced pay for bank holidays, training, and 24/7 care team support. DBS checks may apply; visa sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Previous professional care experience is preferred
• A caring, patient and compassionate nature
• Confidence working independently within a client's home
• Strong communication and listening skills
• The ability to adapt to different clients and care needs
• Reliability and a professional attitude
• A commitment to delivering person-centred care
• Experience supporting people with daily living activities
• Right to work in the UK
• Medication administration experience is desirable
• Live-in care experience is welcomed but not essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care in a home-based setting
• Support washing, dressing and personal grooming
• Encourage independence wherever possible
• Provide companionship and help reduce loneliness
• Assist with mobility and safe movement around the home
• Prepare meals and support healthy eating habits
• Keep the home clean, tidy and safe
• Help with shopping and collecting essentials
• Record important information in care notes
• Report changes in wellbeing promptly
• Work as part of a wider care and support network
