Job summary
Medicare People Limited in Ashford is seeking a compassionate Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support clients in their own homes. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living, meals, personal care, medication administration, and light domestic tasks, while building trusted relationships.
This temporary live-in role offers flexible placements, full training, free accommodation, and ongoing support from a dedicated care team.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of UK care experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care within clients' homes.
- Build meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
- Support mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration.
- _Administer medication in line with care plans, where appropriate.
- Support light household duties, including cleaning and laundry.
- Run errands such as shopping and collecting prescriptions.
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
- Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
- Keep accurate and detailed care records.
- Deliver meaningful one-to-one support that promotes independence.
