Job summary

Medicare People Limited in Maidstone is seeking a compassionate Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide tailored support in clients’ homes. You’ll deliver practical and emotional care, enabling independence and comfort with flexible placements from 4 days to 8 weeks.

We offer free accommodation, a food budget, uniform, ID badge, pension, and ongoing support from care managers, with enhanced pay on bank holidays and 24/7 assistance.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of UK care experience.
• Kind, caring and compassionate personality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience administering medication is desirable.
• Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs.
• Provide companionship and build trusted relationships.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Support safe mobility and moving and handling.
• Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day.
• Administer medication according to care plans.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and household tasks.
• Support clients with shopping and prescription collection.
• Observe and report any changes in health or wellbeing.
• Work alongside families and healthcare professionals.
• Keep care documentation accurate and up to date.
• Help clients maintain dignity, independence and choice.
