Job summary

Bluebird Care Highgate and Haringey is seeking a Live-In Care Assistant to join our team. You will reside in the client’s home, delivering person-centred support to help them maintain dignity, independence and companionship.

We provide expert training, paid breaks and excellent career progression. The role includes working days with a competitive weekly rate and food allowance, plus enhanced rates for Bank Holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year live-in care experience.
• Ability to live with customers for agreed shifts.
• Follow care plans and company policies.
• Have Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support tailored to the client’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Manage medications and assist with meal prep.
• Handle household tasks (laundry, cleaning, shopping).
• Support social activities and community engagement.
• Provide comfort and support during illness, hospital visits or end-of-life care.
• Work independently while staying connected to the care team.

Responsibilities

Please note that a minimum of 1 year live in experience is required.

• Deliver personal care that’s tailored to the customer and encourages their independence
• Assist with personal care like washing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Manage their medication and prep their meals
• Take care of household tasks like laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands
• Support customers in staying connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones
• Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care
• Work independently while staying connected with our care team for support and guidance
• We are a true local provider of care, always close at hand
• Competitive pay rates, starting from £790 per week
