Litigation Solicitor
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established firm based in Bury. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload covering debt recovery, civil litigation, HDR (housing disrepair), and general litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a broad caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Handle debt recovery claims from pre-action through to enforcement.
• Deal with housing disrepair (HDR) matters, including both claimant and defendant work.
• Advise and represent clients in a range of general litigation disputes.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Conduct negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Attend court hearings where required.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to clients and maintain excellent client relationships.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor (1-5 years’ PQE preferred, though all levels will be considered).
• Solid background in litigation, with experience across debt recovery, HDR, and general civil disputes.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive and client-focused approach.
