Job summary

Independent Talent Group in London is seeking an assistant to support an Agent in our Literary Department, with a preferred start date of 21st September. This role suits someone eager to learn within a busy office, adaptable and efficient in handling varied administrative tasks.

You will manage calls and emails, break down scripts for circulation, handle client paperwork and contracts, schedule meetings and keep diaries up to date, while developing a broad knowledge of major production companies

Qualifications

  • Previous agency experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manner.
  • Efficient and organised with a great attention to detail.
  • An ability to multi-task and react quickly to ever-changing situations.
  • A working knowledge of the industry and a genuine interest in theatre, film and television.
  • A willingness to learn and develop in the role.
  • Computer skills and ability to grasp basic software.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming calls and emails.
  • Reading and breaking down scripts to circulate with the department.
  • Managing the client paperwork including logging jobs, invoices, new starter forms.
  • Sending out and tracking contracts.
  • Organising client meetings and managing diaries.
  • Watching client’s work and reading their scripts.
  • Maintaining client information on the ITG website.
  • Managing the office and client calendar.
  • Developing knowledge of leading production companies and producers.
