Job summary

Clevedon School is seeking a compassionate Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to join the Student Support Department (Horizons). You will plan and deliver intervention strategies to support literacy and behaviour for students with SEND, working with families and school staff.

The role is full-time and permanent within the Clevedon School community, part of the Futura Learning Partnership, with opportunities for professional development and safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Has experience of supporting children/young people in a work place or voluntary capacity.
• Can motivate and build rapport with learners whilst encouraging independance.
• Has a sound level of Secondary Education and evidence of relevant professional development and qualifications e.g. Teaching Qualification.
• Has recent experience of working in a school as a Learning Support Assistant or similar relevant child-focused role.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to plan and deliver intervention strategies for behaviour and literacy.
• Support students with SEND by working with parents, school staff and other professionals.
