Job summary

Clevedon School, part of Futura Learning Partnership, seeks a compassionate Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to assist the Student Support Department (Horizons) in planning and delivering targeted interventions for behaviour and literacy in SEND students.

You will collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists to promote progress and inclusion, across a supportive, value-driven multi-academy trust environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children/young people in a work place or voluntary capacity.
  • Ability to motivate and build rapport with learners whilst encouraging independance.
  • Has evidence of relevant professional development and qualifications e.g. Teaching Qualification.
  • Recent experience of working in a school as a Learning Support Assistant or similar relevant child-focused role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a support worker planning and delivering intervention strategies for behaviour and literacy.
  • Work in partnership with students, families, school staff and other professionals.
  • Support SEND students to access, achieve and enjoy education and school life.

Clevedon School is seeking a compassionate and committed Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to join the Student Support Department (Horizons), which supports students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access, achieve and enjoy education and school life. The main responsibility is to act as a support worker planning and delivering intervention strategies that support individual progress in behaviour and literacy for students with SEND by working in partnership with the student, their parents, school staff and other professionals.
