Job summary

Clevedon School is seeking a positive Inclusion Assistant to join our Student Support Department, supporting SEND students to access, achieve and enjoy education and school life. As a key worker, you will collaborate with parents, staff, SENCO and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and ensure safeguarding, data protection and child welfare are central.

This permanent role is 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 inset days, with a start date of 01/10/2026.

Job description

Clevedon School, on the North Somerset coast, is seeking a positive and approachable Inclusion Assistant to join our Student Support Department, which supports students with a range of Special Educations Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access, achieve and enjoy education and school life. Acting as a key worker, the inclusion assistant will work in partnership with parents, school staff, SENCO and other professionals to deliver personalised student learning to support SEND students.

The successful candidate will advise on suitable teaching and learning strategies to support students, acting as a champion for the child, ensuring their voice is heard and that it informs all planning and practice whilst complying with Safeguarding, Child Protection and Data Protection practices.
