Job summary

Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is hiring a Linen Porter on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) to join our dedicated housekeeping team. You will sort, count and manage linen for the hotel and assist with delivering clean linen to guest floors.

The role requires at least one year of linen porter experience in a 4/5-star hotel, a keen eye for cleanliness and a flexible approach to shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

• Eye for cleanliness and pride in work.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sort, count and maintain incoming and outgoing hotel linen.
• Sort, count, log and prepare bed and restaurant linen for cleaning.
• Prepare and assist in delivery of clean linen to guest floors.
• Stock supply carts and assist with room deep-clean projects.

Part-Time Position (20 hours) £13,218.40 per annum (£12.71 per hour)

Work schedule varies with shifts typically scheduled between 8:00 am and 19:30 pm.

Your role in our family:

• Be a part of an incredible Housekeeping department who have the upmost pride in what they do
• Sort, count and maintain incoming and outgoing linen from the hotel
• To sort, count, log and prepare all bed linen and restaurant linen for cleaning to the outside laundry
• To prepare and assist in the delivery of clean linen and associated items to the guest floors
• Other duties include stocking supply carts, room deep-cleaning projects, and assisting with other duties as needed

• You have an eye for cleanliness and take pride in what you do
• At least one year’s experience as a Linen Porter in a 4/5* star hotel is essential
