The Langham London in London is seeking staff to maintain clean, presentable uniforms and to uphold personal appearance and hygiene standards for guests. You will sign on-duty, receive work allocations, and manage keys as required before starting your shift.
You will also maintain floor storage and public areas, receive and count linen, deliver clean linen to floors, and count dirty linen. Daily reports and procedures for damaged linen are part of the role, along with adherence to dress
To ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and is good condition, ensuring personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our guests.
To sign yourself on-duty, collecting work allocations and signing for any keys or that maybe required prior to commencing your shift.
To maintain all of the floor storage and public areas to the required standards.
To receive clean linen separate and count.
To deliver all clean Linen to the floors.
To separate all dirty linen.
To count all dirty linen.
To keep an accurate daily dirty linen report.
To fill accurately daily laundry report book.
To follow procedures for damaged linen.
To follow procedures.
To discard all damage linens and sources alternative uses with the Laundry Manager
Comply with the hotel Dress and Grooming Standards; live the Hotel’s Mission, Values & Essentials; exemplify the 5 M’s ‘My Colleagues’ and ‘My Guest’ behaviours and values in their interaction with colleagues and guests throughout the hotel.
Comply with the Hotel’s professional codes of conduct, general rules and procedures.
Comply with the Hotel’s general policy requirements: Health & Safety; Fire & Emergency; Bomb Threat; Lost Property.
Remain vigilant to potential risks and threats (of whatever nature) during passage round the building. Liaise with appropriate colleagues (Security, Engineering etc.) to minimise the impact of such risks.
Ensure and maintain the security and confidentiality of information relating to guest / colleague data held within the hotel. Re-direct ‘press’ calls at all times to the Sales and Marketing department and do not disclose any data to outside sources.
