Job summary

The Langham London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our Back of House team. You will help maintain spotless kitchens, assist with food service logistics, and ensure safe handling and storage of gear and ingredients.

We value attention to detail, cleanliness, and a collaborative spirit. The role requires a professional approach in a busy, high-standard hotel environment with opportunities for staff development and eligibility for our extensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 5* hotel with a large banqueting operation and outlet restaurants
• High standard of cleaning and personal presentation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Good knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
• Good level of English language

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned to the highest standard
• Ensure that all equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. is stored and allocated to correct areas
• Assist kitchen and food service colleagues in fetching and carrying of food and equipment
• Ensure that correct cleaning procedures are followed for chemicals and equipment and follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Adhere to all company procedures on health and safety and hygiene including maintaining cleanliness of work areas at all times
• Report any accidents, breakages and potential hazards

Job description

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our Back of House team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of Kitchen Porter, your key focus will be to:

• ensure that all kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned to the highest standard
• ensure that all equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. is stored and allocated to correct areas
• assist kitchen and food service colleagues in the fetching and carrying of food and equipment
