Job summary

Dawsongroup Plc in Milton Keynes is seeking a 1st Line Desktop Support Analyst, Help Desk Analyst or IT Support Analyst to be the first point of contact for IT support across the business.

You will diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, network and account issues, configure desktops and devices, log incidents, and escalate where needed, while delivering a professional, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in first-line IT support or Help Desk environments.
  • Familiar with Windows, Microsoft 365, AD and VMware Horizon.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management principles.
  • Customer-focused and collaborative approach.

  • Provide first-line IT support across a broad range of technologies and business systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, network, access and account issues.
  • Log, categorise, prioritise and manage incidents and service requests through the Help Desk.
  • Configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Exhibit a structured approach to troubleshooting and strong communication.
  • Collaborate with wider IT teams and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Job description

Are you an experienced 1st Line Desktop Support Analyst, Help Desk Analyst or IT Support Analyst looking for your next challenge? As a 1st Line Desktop Support Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for IT support across Dawsongroup, helping colleagues stay productive while delivering a professional, customer focused service.

  • Provide first-line IT support across a broad range of technologies and business systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, network, access and account issues.
  • Log, categorise, prioritise and manage incidents and service requests through the Help Desk.
  • Configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Identify recurring issues and potential service-impacting incidents, escalating appropriately.
    You will bring a structured approach to troubleshooting, strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide a positive experience for your users. You do not need to match every requirement perfectly, if you have transferable IT support experience and the willingness to learn, we would still like to hear from you.
  • Experience in a first-line IT support, Help Desk or Desktop Support environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and VMware Horizon.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and device deployment or management.
  • An understanding of ITIL Service Management principles and SLA driven support.
  • A customer focused, organised and collaborative approach.
