Job summary

Dawsongroup is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair and service forklift trucks across designated customer sites in the UK. You will work independently, reporting on equipment condition and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role involves servicing diesel, LPG and electronic systems with a focus on safety and quality, while completing precise service reports and supporting ongoing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Fully skilled Fork Truck Lift Fitter with experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks.
  • Mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work confidently across diesel, LPG and electronic systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and the ability to work independently with care and attention to detail.

Job description

Are you a Field Service Engineer, Forklift Engineer or Fork Truck Lift Fitter looking for your next challenge? As a Field Service Engineer with Dawsongroup Material Handling, you will service, diagnose and repair forklift trucks across designated customer locations, giving you the opportunity to work independently while building strong customer relationships.

  • Work across diesel, LPG and electronic systems, using your technical knowledge to solve problems.
  • Complete accurate service and maintenance reports, including parts used and time taken.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment who takes pride in doing a great job. You will need to be comfortable working independently, communicating with customers and putting safety first, but if you do not meet every point perfectly, we would still encourage you to apply.
