Job summary

Center Parcs Whinfell Forest is hiring a Line Cook / Junior Chef de Partie for the Takeaway service. You will prepare, cook and present dishes to high standards, supervise Kitchen Assistants and cover kitchen operations when the Kitchen Manager is absent.

The role is full-time, with shifts between 1:30pm and 11:00pm, a guaranteed minimum of 150 hours over 4 weeks, and includes evenings and weekends. Benefits include free day passes, discounts, a bonus scheme and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience is required to perform line cook duties.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to high standards, ensuring guest satisfaction
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and legal requirements
• Manage stock, portion control and minimise food waste to meet cost targets
• Support menu development and assist Kitchen Managers with procedures and standards
