Job summary

Center Parcs Whinfell Forest is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader / Chef de Partie to lead daily food preparation, uphold standards and support management in driving efficiency in the restaurant and takeaway operations.

You will mentor junior staff, manage stock, portioning and costs, and ensure quality, consistency and a welcoming guest experience, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. This role requires strong communication and calm under pressure within a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with ability to build relationships with colleagues.
• Previous kitchen experience in a similar position.
• Naturally cheerful, patient and friendly.
• Professional, approachable and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food preparation and presentation to company standards
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues to support their growth
• Act as deputy for the Assistant Kitchen Manager when required
• Monitor stock, portion control and ordering to manage costs effectively
• Implement measures to reduce food waste and maintain operational efficiency
