Job summary

Airbus offers a student internship with the Electro Magnetic Hazards Lightning Direct Effects group based in Filton, Bristol. You will join a transnational team of engineers and support the design office in protecting aircraft from lightning and electrostatic effects.

As an undergraduate, you will rotate through placements with experienced teams across the Airbus Aircraft Family, working on tests, data analysis, and environments including electrical architectures, certification and environmental

Qualifications

• Open to Undergraduates for the whole duration of the placement.
• Engineering/Technical degree candidates preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to EMH Lightning Direct Effects research within the Airbus Systems Engineering domain.
• Assist in electromagnetic hazards studies, standardisation, and certification activities.
• Assist in tests design and data analysis for LDE/ESD testing.
• Help develop protection solutions for fuel system components.
• Collaborate with fuel systems and structures teams to protect the fuel system.
