Job summary

Speedy Services is hiring a Lifting Equipment Engineer in Tamworth. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours, testing, maintaining and repairing lifting hire equipment in our depot workshop and may visit customer sites on long‑term contracts.

You’ll contribute to a safe, high‑quality service, work solo or in a team, and support the ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver. The role offers development opportunities, plus a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence required.
• Excellent knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical equipment.
• Commitment to high health and safety standards in the workplace.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to think on your feet and respond quickly.

Responsibilities

Job description

Lifting Equipment Engineer - Tamworth - Monday to Friday - 40 Hours

As a depot-based Lifting Engineer in our busy workshop, you will have overall responsibility for the testing, maintenance and repair of our lifting hire equipment.

You will play a key role in the customer journey ensuring that they are at the heart of everything we do. You may also be required to attend customer sites to undertake breakdowns and servicing for equipment on long-term customer contracts. We have strong teams and great working relationships and we want you to be part of this fantastic story.

What you’ll need:

• Driving licence
• Excellent knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical equipment
• Ensure that high standards of health and safety in the workplace are maintained
• Able to work on your own or in a team
