Speedy Hire Plc in Ellesmere Port offers an Apprentice Lifting Engineer position as part of our three-year training programme, combining on-site learning with block placements at college providers. You will be trained by experienced colleagues and gain hands-on experience to become a fully qualified engineer.
During years 1 and 2 you will complete a Level 3 Lifting Technician apprenticeship with EPA, and year 3 ends with our in-house lifting training.

Based in Ellesmere Port as an Apprentice Lifting Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.
You will take part in our structured three year training programme. During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with attending block placements with our college provider.
Programme Overview:
Year 1/2: Completion of a Level 3Lifting Technician apprenticeship standard and associated End Point Assessment (EPA)
Year 3: Completion of Speedy's in-house lifting training programme.
When you are not in college completing your formal qualifications, you will be based in Ellesmere Port full time learning from our experienced engineers and practicing your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified engineer at the end of year 3.

Please note that you must hold a a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/Grade Cor above in English and Mathematics or Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English in order to be considered for this apprenticeship.
