Job summary
Schindler Ireland is hiring a Lift Installation Technician to join our team in Northern Ireland. You will install lift shafts, traction equipment, doors and safety systems, performing checks and pre-commissioning for new, refurbishment, and modernisation projects.
You’ll work closely with customers and site teams to meet quality and safety standards. Requirements include NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent, proven installation experience, strong technical knowledge, and a valid Safe
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience installing lift equipment in new, refurbishment or modernisation projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of lift installation practices and standards.
- Valid Safe Pass and full UK/IRL driving license.
- Excellent communication with customers and site teams.
Responsibilities
- Install lift shafts and components per procedures and safety rules.
- Assemble traction equipment including alignment and adjustment.
- Install tensioning ropes and safety devices on new and refurbished lifts.
- Install doors, frames and entrance systems with safety devices.
- Perform final installation checks and pre-commissioning.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements.
- Monitor progress and report hours and issues.
- Build strong relationships with customers and teams.
