Schindler Ltd (UK) in Glasgow is seeking a Lift Installation Engineer to deliver new lift installations across Scotland, testing and handing over projects.

You will install shafts, traction equipment, suspension ropes and safety devices, complete pre-commissioning checks and coordinate with site teams.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence; safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• Recognised lift engineering qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 3) and relevant lift installation experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of lift installation practices, equipment and industry standards.
• Fault-finding and diagnostic skills; able to resolve installation-related issues.

Responsabilités

• Install lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment per procedures and safety rules.
• Assemble traction equipment, align and fit lift systems.
• Install and tension suspension ropes and safety devices on new or modernisation projects.
• Install lift entrances, doors, frames and safety devices; pre-commissioning checks.
• Conduct site surveys and provide progress updates to support delivery.
