Job summary

Stannah Group in Edinburgh is seeking a skilled Lift Engineer to service, repair and maintain lifts across a defined patch including Edinburgh and surrounding areas, with a structured route and no national travel. You will carry out routine servicing, fault finding and breakdown response, attend callouts, complete site logs, and ensure sites remain safe and compliant.

A NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering and a full UK driving licence are essential; training and progression opportunities are

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience working as a lift engineer (service/repair).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and routine maintenance.
• Attending breakdowns and callouts.
• Fault finding and getting lifts back up and running.
• Keeping sites safe and compliant.
• Completing site logs and basic paperwork.

Working ???Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
Friday: 08:00 - 15:45 (early finish)

We’re looking for aLift Service Engineerto cover a route across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

You’ll be looking after your own patch — servicing lifts, fault finding, and keeping things running safely day-to-day, with support from a local team when you need it.

Your Patch:

• Covering Edinburgh and nearby areas
• Structured route (no random national travel)
• Mix of commercial, residential and public sites
• Mostly staying within your allocated area

Lift Engineer Responsibilities:

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and routine maintenance
• Attending breakdowns and callouts
• Fault finding and getting lifts back up and running
