Job summary

Warwick District Council is hiring a Lifeline Response Officer (Days) to join the Independent Living team in Leamington Spa. The role involves working between 6:00am and 10:00pm on a rota, handling Lifeline activations and out-of-hours enquiries to keep residents safe and independent at home.

We seek candidates with at least two years’ experience working with older or vulnerable people, strong customer service, excellent IT skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-focused services and a minimum of two years' experience working with older and/or vulnerable people.
• Outstanding customer service, strong organisational abilities, and accurate record keeping.
• IT skills and ability to make decisions and solve problems independently; ability to work on a rota including weekends, and mobility to travel within Warwick District.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergency alarm activations, assess situations, provide reassurance and coordinate appropriate support.
• Manage a range of out-of-hours council enquiries with calm, decisive action.
• Respond to homelessness enquiries, fire alarms, emergency repair requests and other urgent calls on behalf of the council.
