Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring a Lifeguard to help run our 16-hour-per-week shifts across our centres. You’ll maintain clean, safe facilities and provide friendly service to members and visitors, with full training supplied if you’re new to the role.

Salary is up to £10,603 per annum. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and offer a supportive team, employee benefits, DBS checks, and progression opportunities as part of a charity leisure trust serving communities across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification required or training can be provided.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to staff.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Team orientated approach and cross‑organisation collaboration.
• Able to work flexibly and follow manager instructions.
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry.
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out.

Responsibilities

• In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service for customers with a friendly, clean and safe environment.
• Work as part of a team across the organisation to support centre operations and safety.
• Assist with supervising pool activities and respond to customer needs.
