Job summary

Nuffield Health Milngavie Gym is seeking a Lifeguard on a bank basis to help keep our pool, spa, sauna and steam room safe and welcoming. You will be required to hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and provide training records.

As a Lifeguard, you’ll work ad-hoc hours to suit the business, deliver excellent customer care, monitor safety, assist members, and follow Pool Safety Guidelines. Benefits include holiday, pension, and discounted gym membership.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong customer care and team player.

Responsibilities

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room.
• Be attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities.
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. As a Lifeguard, you will:
