Job summary

Doncaster City Council is seeking a Licensing Practitioner (CDC) to join the Regulation & Enforcement Service in Doncaster. The role involves administering licences, ensuring eligibility and monitoring compliance within taxi licensing and premises licensing for alcohol and regulated entertainment.

Salary details: Grade 6 £26,403 - £27,255 (Pay award pending)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Regulation & Enforcement Service are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work within the Trading standards & licensing team as a Licensing Practitioner.

The team is responsible for delivering the Council’s licensing functions, ranging from Acupuncture to Zoo licensing. A significant element of the team’s workload relates to taxi licensing and the licensing of premises which sell alcohol and/or provide regulated entertainment.

Duties include:

  • the administration of licence applications
  • establishing eligibility, monitoring compliance and bringing to compliance where appropriate.
