Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is recruiting a Library and Resident Services Supervisor for 33.75 hours per week, with hybrid working and a salary of £30,193 - £34,104 per annum (pro rata £27,540.84 - £31,108.30).

You will line manage frontline staff, ensure high quality library and resident contact services, and work with partners to broaden support for residents. This is a hands-on supervisory role with leadership across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading frontline staff in a busy public service environment.
• Proven ability to manage staff performance, induction and welfare.
• Strong customer service orientation with a calm, professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Line manage frontline staff and provide coaching to ensure high service standards.
• Balance workloads and staffing across library locations.
• Oversee the presentation and use of library spaces to remain welcoming.
• Support residents with information access and digital skills.
• Promote services and opportunities for income generation where appropriate.
• Act as Deputy RPBS for building health and safety across locations.
