Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a proactive Library and Digital Support Lead at Rotherham College to oversee both physical and digital learning spaces. In this frontline leadership role, you will manage the library desk operations, supervise Learning Resource Coordinators, and coordinate with the Digital Hub to deliver seamless student support.

You will drive induction programs, leverage LMS and modern digital platforms, and guide students with IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience with Library Management Systems (LMS) and modern digital platforms.
• Experience supervising small teams and managing staffing rotas in educational settings.
• Strong student-centered approach with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive in procurement, budgeting and curriculum collaboration.
• Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to undertake); Level 3 qualification in customer service/IT/library studies (or willingness).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily library operations, staffing rotas and Learning Resource Coordinators.
• Collaborate with the Digital Hub to provide hands-on tech support for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and digital research tools.
• Lead induction programs to help students and staff navigate physical collections and VLE platforms.
• Utilise LMS for cataloguing, circulation and resource management.
• Manage library materials lifecycle, budgeting and collaboration with academic staff.
• Provide 1-to-1 coaching and drop-in support to develop IT literacy.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe independent learning environment and support student behaviour.
• Contribute to Library Service planning and adoption of new digital assets.
