Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a proactive Library and Digital Support Lead to manage both physical and digital learning spaces at our Rotherham College campus. The role combines frontline leadership with expert digital support, reporting to the Head of AI & Digital Innovation, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a seamless student experience.

The post requires strong library management, LMS expertise, and a calm, decisive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using Library Management Systems (LMS) and modern digital platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Apps, online databases).
• Proven ability to supervise small teams, manage workflows and staffing rotas in a customer-facing or educational setting.
• Commitment to student success with strong communication skills to coach users of varying digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily library operations and staffing rotas.
• Provide hands-on digital support and guidance to students and staff.
• Lead induction programmes to help new students navigate LMS, VLE and study spaces.
• Manage library resources, cataloguing, circulation and budgets.
• Develop and manage procurement and collaboration with academic staff.
• Coach students via 1-to-1 sessions and drop-in desks.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe independent learning environment.
• Contribute to Library Service planning with digital asset strategies.
