Job summary

GLL is seeking a Library Assistant to be based at Stourbridge and Lye libraries, working 36 hours per week. The role offers customer-facing responsibilities, IT support, and active participation in training to help improve library services for the community.

You will join a busy library team, delivering high-quality service, supporting activities, and helping users get the best experience from library resources.

Qualifications

• Experience working within libraries or a customer facing role.
• Evidence of making a difference to customers.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the library.
• Provide warm welcome and genuine service to all customers, guiding them on how to get the best results from their visit.
• Fully participate in and engage in any training provided.
