Job summary

GLL is seeking a Library Assistant to be based at Stourbridge and Lye libraries, working 36 hours per week. The role offers customer-facing responsibilities, IT support, and active participation in training to help improve library services for the community.

You will join a busy library team, delivering high-quality service, supporting activities, and helping users get the best experience from library resources.

Stourbridge and Lye are busy libraries, giving access to a wide variety of collections and resources including books, periodicals, CD and DVD loans and public computers/internet access. This is an exciting time to join our team as we improve and promote the library’s services to the local community, whether it’s our valued existing users or widening the offering to a new group of customers.

What you will do

• Work as part of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the library
• Provide warm welcome and genuine service to all customers, providing guidance and support on how to get the best results from their visit
