Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a part-time Library Assistant at Penarth Library. You will assist customers, support library activities and help users access stock and facilities in a friendly, professional manner.
The role requires 3 GCSEs including English, and a DBS check is required. Working pattern is 20 hours across 4 days per week, with every other Saturday. Apply to join our community-focused library team.
Libraries in the Vale of Glamorgan provide a wide range of services to library users through activities, training and events, free access to the internet and information, hire of rooms, work with partners, a wealth of local studies materials and of course the loan of books, audio books, eMagazines and DVDs.
Pay Details: Grade 3, SCP 5, £26,427(Pro Rata),
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 20 hours, 4 days a week (every other Saturday)
Main Place of Work: Penarth Library
Description: To assist in delivering a friendly and professional library service to the community. This will involve dealing with enquiries, helping out with library activities, and providing support for customers to make use of the library stock, resources and facilities.
