Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a passionate, organised Libraries Assistant to join our team. You will help provide excellent service to library users, manage stock and premises, and support colleagues in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You will lead and motivate a small team, promote library services, and be confident using IT library systems (training provided). Some evenings/weekends may be required; physical work is involved, and you may cover other roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-focused library services.
• Ability to organise staff, stock and premises efficiently.
• Proven teamwork and willingness to support colleagues.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence with IT and library systems (training provided).
